System Requirements Specification

Selecting a LIMS, or accurately defining the functionality to be implemented, is greatly facilitated by precisely defining the system requirements early in the project continuum. Many consulting organizations will make liberal use of "boilerplate" requirements specifications, and tailor them slightly to reflect your company's needs. The LEC believes that requirements must be derived from your business operations by defining and mapping LIMS functionality to reflect the goals and objectives of your laboratory operations. To properly employ this approach, LEC will utilize consultants who understand chemistry and the related sciences, as well as LIMS, and draw on our breadth of experience to help define requirements that are custom-fit to your business.

This activity may consume from 2-4 weeks, depending on the scope of your project.
